Gregory Burns & The Olympic Games

Three Paralympic
Games. Three
Olympic Commissions.

Gregory Burns is the only living artist who has both competed in the Paralympic Games and been commissioned to paint the Olympic Games. His 5×5ft canvas from the IOC’s Thank You Tokyo event now hangs in the permanent IOC Museum collection in Lausanne, Switzerland.

In February 2025, he was invited by the LA28 Organizing Committee to paint a live 4×12ft mural at the LA28 Olympic Partners Event in Hollywood — in front of 240 guests, in three hours, from scratch. Los Angeles 2028 is next.

The Art of Athletic Achievement

As a three-time Paralympian and lifelong competitor, Gregory brings a rare insider’s perspective to every canvas — he has stood on the podium and he has stood at the easel. His painting style is gestural and physical: broad, decisive brushstrokes that carry the same full-body commitment an athlete brings to competition.
