Renaissance Series 2021–2023 12 paintings
Covid changed all of us. Galvanized by the news cycle’s corresponding highs and lows, Gregory chose to connect with the undercurrent of optimism running beneath the upheaval — painting as his way to reboot, reconnect, and steer upstream when pessimism threatened to flatten everything. Through a gestural vocabulary drawn from Chinese calligraphy and the physical memory of elite sport, the series explores what it means to begin again — after setbacks, after loss, after the finish line, and before whatever comes next. Works range from 51×63″ to 54×92″ in oil on canvas.

Twenty-four paintings created over several residencies across the Maldives between 2007–2024 — a meditation on light, water and the space between sky and reef.
The Olympic Agora 2020–2021 16 paintings
Selected as one of six Olympian and Paralympian Artists-in-Residence for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Agora, Gregory created six monumental Noren Screens that were displayed throughout Tokyo Train Station.

Works on paper made in transit — oil pastels, acrylic, and mixed media on paper created while moving through someone else's neighbourhood. Improvisational by nature, immediate in mark. Sixty countries of looking, condensed into works that are small in scale and large in intention.
